WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

I used to be afraid of doing what the Lord had told me to do; because I was over worried about what people would say, think or how they would react. I did not want to be out of order, but I was out of order. Being concerned with what people thought was being out of order with God.

Lives that I was supposed to touch I may have missed because I was holding myself back. People who I was supposed to help and pour into may have suffered from dry mouth because I did not quench their thirst. I did not do my part and water so that God could give the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6).

I look back now and ask myself "What was I afraid of?" Doing it Gods' way could not have been the wrong thing to do. Instead I kept myself inside of a box. The box was constructed by my thoughts, fears, insecuritites and unworthiness. The lid on the box was closed by people who tried to hold me in a place of comfortability that made them feel safe.

Afraid= Feeling fear or anxiety; frightened. Worried that something undesirable will occur or be done. Unwilling or reluctant to do something for fear of the consequences.

No longer can we be afraid of the consequnences of people. I am not saying be a renegade or go rogue and do whatever you feel. Seek Godly counsel concerning the things that God is requiring of you. No longer can we allow our fears and anxiety to hold us back from moving forward into the things, places and positions that God has called us to. There is more on the inside of you than you can even imagine or think. So please ma'am, please sir, begin to work the power that is on the inside of you. What is the power you ask; it is the power of the Holy Spirit; the gift that Jesus promised is alive in you. Stir up the gift and go forth (2 Timonothy 1:6)!

Be brave, be confident and pray. God got you! It is time for you to deny your fear, pick up your cross and follow Jesus (Matthew 16:24)!

God Bless!
