MY POWER IS IN MY SILENCE

Because I am not boisterous or voiceterous (my word) as many, many see me as having no power. It is unfortunate for most that they believe you have to be loud and always saying something in order to flex your power. However, in 1 Kings 19:12, even God spoke in a still small voice.
People view me as weak and with no knowledge but little do they know I possess more power than they give me credit for; not that I need their approval. i am approved by God.
POWER
noun - the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or quality
a right or authority that is given or delegated to a person or body
Tyndale Bible Dictionary defines power as the “ability to do things, by virtue of strength, skill, resources, or authorization
Other biblical definitions include ...
The capacity to perform effectively
The ability to act or produce an effect
Now I am not writing this to prove a point but I am writing to let the enemy know that he do not have a win over me. My words are precious and I must not cast them among swine but I move in the aunthenticity, the authority and the pureness of God.
One of my strengths is my voice and the power of my influence. Not through speaking, but by choosing to remain quiet and reserved, being watchful and praying (Matthew 26:41). I choose to allow my actions and presence speak louder than words; By no means am I implying that I am better than anyone but I am applying a sense of control, reflecting on my thoughts, and practicing strategic communication through my silence.
By me choosing to be silent, it is my way of deliberately conveying a message. Many times this way takes a stranger stance than any verbal communication could. My communication must be intentional, especially when the situation(s) require more focus, more reflection, or especially when words may be misinterpreted. Because in these days many hear with an offended ear and the spirit of offense is at an all time high.
My inner strength and impactful presence brings me into a grounded place of confidence allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me. I am comfortable in knowing that there is no need for me to prove myself but that God has already proven me. Glory!
I have also learned that my quiet demeanor commands attention and respect, for when I do open my mouth, my words are more impactful.
SILENCE
forbearance from speech or noise
You do not always have to speak. You do not always have to prove your point. Every battle is not for you to fight. Every lie is not for you to defend. Exodus 14:14 says The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
In Ecclesiastes 3:7 part B of the scripture says there is a time to speak and a time to be quiet. I had to learn that I did not need to respond to everything. I can hold my peace and let the Lord fight my battles because He will tell me when to speak and when to be silent. Because it is in Him that I move, live and have my very being so I allow His words to be released from my mouth for they shall be seasoned with salt.
So my POWER is in my SILENCE.
Remember, silence is golden.
Happy New Year!
